June Health therapist Sandy McGarvey has over 20+ years of experience working with clients — individuals and couples.

In addition to being a highly skilled traditional therapist, Sandy is also trained EMDR practitioner.  Her style of therapy is to work with clients to get to the roots of whatever brings them to therapy, which leads to long-lasting healing and growth.

“If you find yourself struggling with relationship problems, or just trying to get through the day with symptoms of anxiety or depression, I can provide you with a safe, relaxed setting to support your emotional healing and personal growth.

My aim is to help you get to the root of your symptoms rather than simply to manage your symptoms on the surface.

I have significant experience working with couples, and am certified in trauma work and EMDR.  I have seen many times throughout my life and career, that unresolved trauma is often at the root of many of the unhealthy behaviors that hold us back in life.

While I am flexible in my approach based on your needs, some of my prior clients describe my style as “integrated.”   I believe that our work together should integrate mind, body and spirit. Often, this holistic approach often leads to more meaningful and lasting results vs. other more narrowly focused therapy.
