Years in Practice: 20+
My name is Scott Van Camp, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in the field for over 28 years.
During those 28 years, I have served in settings ranging from private practice to community-based organizations focusing on substance use and dual diagnoses, mental health, arts education, and grief and loss.
I believe therapeutic relationships are collaborative, and facilitated best through compassion, kind curiosity, purposeful treatment planning, and a deep belief in people.
As a therapist providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy, I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Solution- Focused, Narrative, and Extended Family Systems Therapy; while also utilizing training in mindfulness, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and expressive arts.
When I am not providing therapy, I am a husband, father, and gigging musician who enjoys friends, motorcycles, fitness, creating art, and reading.
